Graphic 45 Mini Accordian Book

I had been trying to use up the 8 sheets of Graphic 45 Seasons papers I started working on last year, and am finally down to working with the remnants of these Summer and Autumn papers. Having created another accordian after I made the first two accordian albums (here and here) previously, I have been working on it on and off over the past few months as I wanted another little positivity book, so I needed to fill up every single page.

For most of the pages, I created little scenes with short sentiments, adding paper dollies and Daiso adhesive studs from my stash. As the pages are only 3″ x 4″, this really allows me to use up the little pieces of paper scraps.

For variety, I included waste twine, a skeleton leaf, a wax seal and crumpled packaging papers on different pages. As there were many stamp images remaining, I included a removeable paper clip for some interactive element.

To hide the paper clip on the reverse, I used the honeycomb packaging paper that came with my L’Occitane online purchases. Some washi tape adds a dash of colour to the brown background.

Closure for the accordian book came in the form of fancy twine wrapped around a wooden butterfly shaped button. I had cut the twine and created the front and back pages of the album before completing the rest of the pages, without realising that the finished book would be so bulky, so the butterfly ended up a bit off centre. Oh well, nothing is perfect in life!!
